1. Could you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started with bodybuilding?
I was interested in bodybuilding since about 15-16 years of age, however because I was heavily involved with playing college soccer I did not start really training until I was about 22.

2. How do you stay motivated?
I try to remind myself that even on the days that I don’t feel like going in, doing something, even if its 20 minutes of cardio, is more than doing nothing at all. Even the smallest of things add up.

3. What is your current workout routine?
I am mainly focused on solid athletic performance, with aesthetics as a secondary goal. I train utilizing superseded compound movements + cardio.

4. What is your diet like?
Diet is not very restrictive. I try to stay away from obvious things that are bad for you (fried stuff) and look to take in a lot of fruits / vegetables, however I still eat pizza on the day I train – I find it to be a decent source of carbs before a workout, and its pleasure food.

5. What gives you the best results when building muscle?
I have seen best results with low rep compound movements combined with high rep muscle specific exercises (example: 6-8 bent over rows + 20 bicep curls)

6. What are your top 3 favorite exercises, and why?
Clean and Press- by far my favorite – reason: it works your whole body, you get a great overall pump in your back , tris, bis, shoulders…its just a great excersize. Plus not many people do it.

Rows- love the rows, especially with grip variations so you can target your back in different ways.

Squat to Arnold – another compound movement, similar to clean and press but uses quads
more…feels spectacular.

7. What supplements do you use, do you believe in them?
I use no supplements. I used supplements when I was 22-25, after educating myself about the potentially harmful side effects to your liver, lipid profiles, thyroid – I stopped.

8. What is the most common bodybuilding question that people ask you? (and what’s the answer?)
I want get big, how do I get big? My answer is: I don’t know how your body works, however the principal truths are, eating right, sleeping enough, and training smart.

9. Why do you think it’s important to stay natural?
I think it’s about promoting a healthy society, and using the healthy body / healthy mind approach. I don’t advocate “straight edge” mentality, because all of us need to have fun, however being smart about what you put into your body will go a long way in the later phases in life.

10. What is your favorite quote?
Please Understand- I didn’t wake up like this one morning I worked for this, I didn’t fall of a x-mass tree looking this way – I poured sweat and tears (literally) for this – I deserve this.

11. What are your plans for the future?
I am turning 30 this may and want to shift into a physique I can keep for the next 15-20 years.

12. How do you generally feel about the fitness industry, is it heading in the right direction?
Fitness industry just like any other business is focused on making money, thru use of media, and clever marketing gimmicks general population will spend millions of dollars on equipment and supplements, that they don’t really need. This is why its important to share information that will educate general population about safe and effective ways of promoting healthy living.

13. Do you have any role models?
I can’t pick one person in general – I try to pick my inspiration from multiple sources – my mentor Guru7777, close colleague ScarfDaddy aka Bruno, and all the brothers and sisters in All Naturals group. I think there is at least 1 thing we can learn from every single person in this group.
